Year Six, Month Seven

Father's Day Photos

I took a bunch of photos of the boys today so that we would have something new to put in the frames the boys made for Brandon for Father's Day this afternoon.  These were a few of my favorites.

C is for: Carousel, Coloring, Cookies, Craft and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

We went to the Carousel this morning.

Hinton rode on the zebra the first time around.
They both rode on horses the second time around.
Kason rode on the frog (a new addition) the third time around.
Then we played at the park next to the Carousel.
And walked around the globe.

The boys colored.

Made cookies.

Worked on a Father's Day gift craft.

And we ended the day by watching the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,
a book that Hinton and I recently finished reading together.

Scavenger Hunt

School may be out, but Hinton's kindergarten teacher organized a fun playdate and scavenger hunt at the park for his class.

We found everything except a feather and an acorn.

Z is for: Zippers, Zoo, GaZelles, and Zero Zebras

This summer, in hopes of teaching Kason all of his letters, and just to have a bunch of fun, we are having an "alphabet summer".  One day this summer will be devoted to each letter of the alphabet.  And, we decided to start at the end!  So, Z is for:

Zippers! (on our jackets)

We visited the Zoo!

Where we saw gaZelles.
But Zero Zebras.

There was a Lego exhibit in one of the buildings that the boys really enjoyed.
